July 26, 2022

Harvey Nash, the global professional and executive recruitment group, today announced that their UK business has become the first recruitment firm to be certified with EY’s National Equality Standard, one of the UK’s most rigorous and prestigious accreditations for diversity and inclusion.

To be awarded the National Equality Standard (NES) Harvey Nash UK have undertaken a robust assessment against more than forty criteria, over an 18 month period.  The assessment was carried out by trained NES assessors who conducted comprehensive interviews and in-depth surveys with over 100 staff, as well as reviewed procedures and documentation and legal compliance.

Harvey Nash has long been a champion of diversity, launching its Inspire network almost a decade ago to help its clients recruit a more diverse workforce. The NES accreditation recognises Harvey Nash’s commitment to applying those same principles internally, and it now join the likes of Channel 4, Cisco and Thomson Reuters among others who have also been certified by the programme.

Albert Ellis, CEO Harvey Nash Group said: “We are delighted that we have been recognised for our hard work in making our organisation a place where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.  To be the first recruitment company to be certified with NES is a fantastic achievement.  However, we do not rest on our laurels.  A company is only as strong as its people, and we will continue to do all we can to attract and develop the very best talent.”

Arun Batra, Chief Executive of NES, said: “I am absolutely delighted that Harvey Nash have become the first recruitment company to obtain the National Equality Standard.  The hard work that they have undertaken and the obvious commitment that they have demonstrated to their D&I agenda is something which they should be very proud of and it gives me great pleasure to congratulate them on this achievement.”
